MPBL Playoffs: Batangas City Tanduay Rum Masters Clash With San Juan Knights in Packed Regional Arena Thriller

BATANGAS CITY — Playoff intensity reached a boiling point at the Batangas City Sports Coliseum as the Batangas City Tanduay Rum Masters and the San Juan Knights collided in a classic Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL) postseason showdown.

Backed by a sea of green-and-gold hometown supporters, Batangas City pushed the tempo off every defensive stop, with veteran wing Cedric Ablaza and sharpshooter Levi Hernandez combining for 39 points. San Juan countered with crisp half-court ball movement led by Orlan Wamar and Michael Calisaan, turning the fourth quarter into a possession-by-possession chess match.

Regional Basketball at Its Finest

"Games like tonight show why regional playoff basketball means so much to our local communities," Batangas head coach Cholo Villanueva said. "Every loose ball and transition layup is contested with everything both teams have."
